Event / PR Photography for Ricardo

The other month I was asked by Ricardo, the multi-national enginering and technology company to photograph their Give and Gain day for them and for the press and their PR department. For those who don't know what the Give and Gain day is, it's a day when businesses all over the country volunteer time and resources to help the local community. In Ricardo's case they were holding an engineering challenge in a school and helping to redecorate two hostels.

I was asked to photograph the events which took place over three different locations, in Brighton, Worthing and Shoreham, Sussex and featured over 30 members of staff. The highlight of the day had to be when one of the Ricardo designed and build army vehicles, the Ocelot arrived at the school. The kids were just amazed at this mammoth of a truck.

Well done to all of those who took part in the event and helped to improve their community.

Brighton Dome - Brighton SEO Conference

I was recently commissioned by the event team at Brighton Dome to shoot some event photography at the the Brighton SEO conference. Which is a one-day search marketing conference and series of training workshops held at the Dome. The event team were particularly interested in showing off how well the Dome can handle technology and conferences for a few upcoming articles in some trade magazines. The brief was to show that they can handle many people using laptops / iPads / phones etc. all accessing the Dome's wi-fi network at the same time, while showing aspects of the conference itself and the fabric of the building.

It was tricky working with the low light and that many people, but the client is very happy with the results and hopefully i'll be going back later in the year for the next conference for an idea that I've got for a very cool shot.
